Mr. Yadu Vansh Giri is a leading Senior Advocate of Bihar & Jharkhand with expertise in Constitutional, Civil, Corporate, Criminal, Arbitration and other matters. He is an eminent figure in Bihar and has been practicing law for 42 years. He got designated as a senior counsel at an early age of 39 years, one of the youngest Senior Advocates in the history of Patna High Court. He got elected as a Member of the Bihar State Bar Council in 1994 and became a member of their Executive Committee in 1997.

He has held various honorable posts: he was the Additional Advocate General No.1 for Bihar State Government in 2005, Senior Special Public Prosecutor (Cabinet Vigilance) Government of Bihar (2004-2008), among others. He was appointed by the Government of India (President of India) as the Central Government Standing Council (the post that is now named as Additional Solicitor General) in the year 1985 and continued till 1991 and was in charge of all Central Government cases for Patna High Court. He has been the legal advisor to many Governors of Bihar including Honorable Dr. D.Y Patil who served as the Governor of Bihar till November 2014 and also the present Governor Honorable Shri Keshri Nath Tripathi.

He has also served as a member of General Council (Governing Body), National Law School of India University, Bangalore, for 5 years from 1998. Presently, Chanakya National Law University bestows an annual award by the name of “Y.V. Giri Gold Medal for Jurisprudence” to the topper of the batch in the subject of Jurisprudence.

Ashish Giri is one of the most promising and upcoming lawyers in Patna High Court. He finished his LL.B from M.S Ramaiah College of Law in 2007 and LL.M from Nalanda University in 2013. He started practicing law in 2007 and has gained expertise in the fields of Criminal, Civil, Corporate, Constitutional Law, Service, Family Law and other matters. He joined the Chamber of Senior Counsel, Mr. Shyam Diwan, Supreme Court of India in 2009 and appeared as an independent and assisting counsel before the Supreme Court in Constitutional matters, Excise matters, Sugarcane industries, Criminal matters, Service Law among others. He joined the chamber of Senior Counsel Mr. Yadu Vansh Giri, Patna High Court in May 2011.

He has been assisting counsel to many eminent lawyers like Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Shri Nagendra Rai, Shri Shyam Diwan, Shri Mukul Rohatgi, Shri C.S Vaidyanathan. He has represented various government bodies and private companies as independent counsel including Bihar State Financial Corporation, BISCOMAUN co-operative, Carlsberg, Safe Décor, Vishnu Sugar Mills, Tantia Construction, Welcome Distilleries, etc. He has experienced in appearing as an independent counsel in diverse forums in Bihar such as Central Administrative Tribunals, Excise Commissioner, Principal Secretary (Sugarcane), Principal Secretary (Road Construction Department), Consumer forum, Arbitration Tribunals, Land Dispute Tribunals, Domestic Violence Tribunals

Aditya Giri has about 2 years experience in Investment Banking in Mumbai as well as in London. Prior to joining Giri Law Associates, he was working with J.P. Morgan in a range of industries including Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Power. He has worked extensively in upstream Oil & Gas and was involved in acquisitions and capital raising of E&P companies.

Aditya Giri completed his MBA from Boston University (High Honors) in 2011 with concentrations in Business Strategy and Finance, where he also received Dean’s Achievement Scholarship. He also holds a B.E (Computer) from Maharashtra Institute of Technology and has 3 years experience in IT industry devising and executing strategies to support the company’s objectives along with managing clients.
